Privacy & cookie policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This site respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data is processed, why, for how long, who it is shared with and what rights you have. Kept deliberately short and honest: there are no tracking or advertising cookies, and your data is never sold.

1. Who is responsible?

The data controller is:

MANDRIES.DEV, a personal hobby project by Andries M.
Flanders, Belgium
Email: andries.martijn@proton.me

2. What data is processed, and why?

Contact

This site has no contact form. Contact goes directly by email; whatever you write in that email simply stays in the mailbox and is only used to reply to you.

The tools

The free tools on this site only process what you paste or upload into them, in order to do their job. Nothing you enter is stored once the result has been produced. Where it goes differs per tool:

No analytics, tracking or advertising cookies are placed. Cloudflare, the hosting provider, may keep anonymised, cookie-free statistics for security and performance; no individual is identified or followed.

3. How long is data kept?

4. Who is data shared with (processors)?

A small number of trusted service providers are involved. They may only use your data to deliver their service:

ServicePurposeMore information
CloudflareHosting, security and delivery of the website (CDN), and the AI behind the excuse generatorcloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Google TranslateFallback for the SRT translator once the daily AI budget is used up. The request then goes straight from your browser to Google, so Google sees the subtitle text and your IP address. See the note below.policies.google.com/privacy
YouTube (Google)Videos on three projects. Only if you press play yourself. See below.policies.google.com/privacy

About the videos: the work page carries three videos from the maker's own YouTube channel. The preview image is served from this server, so as long as you do not press play, nothing reaches YouTube: no request, no IP address, no cookie. If you do press play, the video is loaded at that moment through youtube-nocookie.com, the privacy-friendly variant. From then on Google's terms apply and YouTube may process your IP address and device data. If you would rather not, simply do not press play, or open the video directly on YouTube.

Your data is never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some of the providers above (Cloudflare and Google among them) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it is done with appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies and local storage

Only strictly necessary and functional storage is used. Under the ePrivacy rules that kind of storage does not require prior consent, but here it is anyway:

NameTypePurposeRetention
·NoneThe site itself sets no cookies·
Tool preferencesLocal storage (functional)Some tools remember a setting (sound on or off, for instance) in your own browserUntil you clear your browser storage
md-swipe-hintLocal storage (functional)Counts how often the "swipe between sections" tip has been shown on this device, and records once the gesture has actually been used, so the tip stopsUntil you clear your browser storage

No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies are set. You can always delete cookies and local storage yourself through your browser settings.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

You exercise these rights by emailing andries.martijn@proton.me. You will get a reply within the statutory period, in principle within one month.

8. Filing a complaint

Not happy with how your data is handled? You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority:

Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit)
Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
contact@apd-gba.be · gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be

9. Changes

This policy may be updated now and then, for instance when a new tool or service is added. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
